H.I.I.T Training (High Intensity Interval Training) has made it big time in the fitness industry for both men and women. More group exercises are focusing on delivering exceptional boutique classes with the focus of H.I.I.T especially classes like Blaze
What Is H.I.I.T And Why It Helps Anxiety
H.I.I.T is short for Hight Intensity Interval Training. It’s a form of circuit workouts that are broken down into shorter more intense sections with quick recovery times to level up your fitness while working your whole body.
Firstly those who live with anxiety or have experienced a time in their life with uncontrollable panic attacks, emotional break downs and constant worry, know the main thing is always having a sense of doubt and fear over nearly everything.
The last thing you feel you can do is talk about it, let alone doing something to prevent or stop the anxiousness. I’m just like you. I’ve been through it.
I can appreciate that exercise is not the easiest thing to get into when you’re going through so much. But it’s the one thing that can help you build mental strength to overcome it all.
The Physiological effects of exercise is beyond amazing. If you haven’t heard the quote already ‘ exercise is the most underestimated antidepressant and FREE’ well there you go. (Thank me later when you’ve worked out)
I speak to many fitness hopefuls that believe they can only do something like H.I.I.T when they’ve become ‘fitter’. After a few months I ask them if they’ve signed on to that class yet and the excuses are still the same.
I say excuses because that’s what they are. It’s a complete myth, that you need to be fit to do H.I.I.T.
H.I.I.T is what gets you fit! And you most certainly don’t need to be at a certain level to begin. During those classes you are being tested on a whole new level. Mentally, physically and spiritually. Your passion will be set alight and will push so many limits you believed you couldn’t.
The feeling after completing a class is beyond explanation.
Why Classes Like Blaze And Other H.I.I.T Training Is Great For Mental Health - Anxiety
For those who aren’t members of David Lloyd or fitness instructors are probably looking at that heading thinking what the frick is she on? Blaze?
I had heard of H.I.I.T training but nothing such as this. Participating in Blaze and teaching Blaze has opened my eyes to so much of what exercise has to offer for mental health. Physical benefits aside. A class that gets you to push your limits on a consistent basis. Rising your heart rate then, focusing on a speedy recovering. It’s all about pushing your mental capacity and whether or not you accept the challenge to change.
Mental health causes so many limitations on your mind. You get so trapped in your thinking. Sometimes you need that intense class to get you out of your mind and into pushing your body.
Anxiety builds up when you’re scared but disappears when you face your fears and get it done.
I strongly advise everyone with depression and anxiety to focus their workouts on H.I.I.T.
Take things from there. Make that studio your dungeon where you come out as the master of your thoughts while releasing so much endorphins you literally on a high.
