What you’re looking at is someone who goes to the gym but doesn’t eat right and as a result has lost the body definition that use to be there. I’ll be honest with you, the last couple of weeks have been hard. I’ve been stressed out with work and not really managing my time effectively. I haven’t really been prioritising my health or business, which ultimately go hand in hand.

Falling Back To Old Habits

Now usually, my old habits would be to ‘treat’ myself with some well-deserved comfort food.

I’m talking Chinese takeaways, Nando’s, chicken and chips and oh yeh, some more Chinese takeaway, or if I was feeling extra saucy and a bit in my feelings I’d order some Thai.

So that’s exactly what happened and this actually went on for more than a month or so.

During this time I honestly didn’t know what to say to you guys and what to write. I don’t want to make content simply for the sake of it and promised myself this journey would be one of truth, sharing the highs and lows.

Analysing The Struggles And Symptoms

Dealing with hormonal imbalances and the pressures of maintaining a consistent mentality in life is challenging. I really underestimated some of the challenges and overlooked crucial requirements to keep me in check. So I basically let that slump of a period drag on, knowing fully well that the climb would be tough, to say the least.

Getting back into the fitness lifestyle has required A LOT OF DISCIPLINE and analysing my relationship with food and what I allow into my system. 

When I get overly stressed, start doubting, over analysing or even when my hormones act up  I occasionally spiral back to some old unhealthy habits.

There are no excuses for the way we neglect our minds and bodies. I’m realising that it’s one of my biggest assets and the first thing people will see from my brand is me.

Creating “Be transformed” wasn’t ever just about telling others what to do, and how to do it.

It started as a way for me to really understand my journey, remembering why I started and building an HONEST platform from my own experiences based on what I would have appreciated and appreciate when it comes to living a healthier lifestyle.

The truth.

Not everything is within 1 week or ‘instant results’. People show you how to lose weight and think positively but not how to MAINTAIN these new change.

I’ve learnt it’s all about transforming your mindset renewing your mind to think better of yourself and loving yourself so much you want to detox all the toxins and fill it up with lush vegan stuff (I’m not even vegan but you get my drift)

My journey is not the first or only, (there’s like 7.9 billion or something of us all) I know others too are in that same limbo of poor mental health and physical health but still living, fighting and standing tall fall after fall not wanting to give up.

Even if it feels like your body is against you for whatever reason,  just take it easy. Take a break but always make sure you get back to it and PUSH. Allow yourself the time to analyse but also remember your WHY.

BEING SELFISH!

Be selfish! Because you have to be to improve you. It’s not something anyone else can do for you, sis. That’s why your goals have to be so personal, they could make you CRY!

As much as I like fixing and nurturing! I got to do it for myself first!

Mathew 7.5- “first remove the plank out of your own eye, then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye”

And that scripture for me sums up self-care and my wellbeing. Always trying to “fix” others yet not looking within myself.

Why wouldn’t you want to improve the one thing that’s beyond unique in this world… You!
